This new magazine in the “Special Editions” series is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Napoleon. Its cover is decorated with a reproduction of a letter signed by Commander-in-Chief Bonaparte and an image of a monument by Charles-Emile Seurat. The letter, dated January 11, 1799 according to the modern calendar, was written on paper with the official details of the army headquarters in Cairo and addressed to Vice Admiral Honore Gantome.

These books from the “Special Editions” series were released to commemorate the memorable date - 250 years since the birth of Napoleon Bonaparte. The cover is decorated with a letter signed by Commander-in-Chief Bonaparte, dated “22 Nivoz of the 7th year” according to the calendar of the French Republic (corresponding to January 11, 1799 of our calendar). This example of handwriting is complemented by the silhouette of one of the most recognizable monuments in the world - “Napoleon the First”, created by the sculptor Charles-Emile Seur. The letter and monument are in the Army Museum in Paris.
