Description

More about this design:
  • Source: illustration by Benjamin Lacombe
  • Era: 2017
  • Region: Paris, France

The Paperblanks collection has been expanded with a vibrant drawing created by the talented French writer and illustrator Benjamin Lacombe. This design reflects the artist's amazing ability to capture human qualities and genuine feelings through the language of art.

The style, which the artist himself describes as a mixture of pop surrealism and lowbrow art, looks vintage and at the same time incredibly modern. With a passion for everything from painting to sculpture and from cinema to music, Lacombe became one of the leading French masters of modern illustration.

Benjamin Lacombe studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in his native Paris, and at the age of 19 he published his first graphic novel. Now the artist is 37, and his career is really taking off: Lacombe's works are published and translated all over the world, and his creative imagination promises us many more interesting discoveries.
