Pharmacological properties

Unguentum Terebinthinae belongs to the medicines irritating nerve terminations renders the distracting, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anesthetizing action. the distracting action is caused by ability to get through epidermis and to cause reflex changes as a result of irritation of receptors of skin. influence of medicine is caused also by release in skin of biologically active agents (histamine).

Indication

Neuralgia, miositis, arthritis, rheumatism.

Use

Outwardly for grinding of painful sites of skin 2–3 times a day. duration of application is caused by the nature of a disease.

Contraindication

Disease of kidneys and liver, disease of skin of various character.

Side effects

Allergic reactions.
