Tequila Sierra is a special drink that is produced; from overripe fruits of blue agave, literally dripping with juice, grown in the state of Jalisco, near its capital - the city of Guadalajara, at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level. Only professionals have been working in the agave fields for generations and taking care of the entire process from planting to harvesting. The agave is cooked for 12 hours at high pressure and another 12 hours at low temperature, followed by gentle extraction of the juice. The resulting agave liquid is distilled twice in large copper vats to produce alcohol with a high alcohol content, which is diluted with the purest, repeatedly purified spring water. After this, the tequila is poured into bottles or barrels for further aging.
