The glass used in countertops can withstand 75 kg, it is tempered 3 times at a temperature of 600 degrees C, after which it acquires a strength 10 times greater than ordinary glass. After this treatment, glass can withstand loads of up to 300 kg/sq.m. Glass is tested by dropping metal balls of different weights onto it from a height of one meter to identify hidden defects. Tempered glass is only afraid of targeted impacts from a sharp metal object. When tempered glass breaks, it crumbles into small granules and does not pose a danger to humans and domestic animals.
