The Maetok Saga / Selma Lagerlöf

The novel “The Saga of the Toilet” by the Swedish writer, Nobel Prize winner Selmi Lagerlöf (1858–1940), tells the story of the affairs of a fallen estate and a simple girl’s life. This seems to develop in both of them a continuation of evidence, which means sharp turns in the plot, authenticity in the description of the realities of Sweden in the 19th century, fancied poetry and deep psychology. “The Saga of the Motherboard” was published in 1899, and has since been translated into many languages.
