Description
Italian pen Montegrappa Sirena ISSIARGO Brand: Montegrappa Collection: Sirena Model: ISSIARGO Limited edition Rollerball pen "Sirena", the body and cap are made using the bas-relief technique, decorated with elements made of 18K gold (750 carat). Gold cap clip. The pen is packaged in a beautiful wooden case. According to the tradition of Greek mythology, the Sirens were fabulous sea creatures whose bodies were half female and half fish. Not far from the coast of Sicily, they bewitched passing sailors, using the softness of their songs and the grace of their bodies, making them insensitive to hunger and thirst. The unfortunate ones will eventually starve to death. Ulysses himself, as is told in the famous part of the Odyssey, met them and was almost seduced. The death of sea creatures is told in Apollonio Rodio's Argonautica, where it is written that the Sirens were defeated by the mortal Orpheus, who made them fall headlong into the sea and turn into rocks with his songs and the sounds of his cithara. Montegrappa dedicated the Sirena collection to the strong emotions evoked by these mythological figures with a blue resin body, folded into an allegory of sea elements and inhabited by mythical characters. The creativity and imagination of the artist Leopoldo Aquila thus expressed the fascination of temptation and the fascination of the depths.
