Ripronat kaps. 500 mg No. 60

Ripronat capsules are used in complex therapy at the following cases:

• a heart disease and vascular system: stable stenocardia of loading, chronic heart failure (NYHA I-III functional class), cardiomyopathy, functional violations of action of the heart and vascular system;
• acute and chronic ischemic disorders of cerebral circulation;
• lowered working capacity, a physical and psychoemotional overstrain;
• during recovery after cerebrovascular violations, injuries of the head and encephalitis.

Structure

Active ingredient: meldonium;

1 solid capsule contains to meldonium 250 mg or 500 mg;

Excipients: corn starch, silicon dioxide colloidal, calcium stearate;

Capsule on 250 mg (body and a lid) of the titan dioxide (E 171), ferrous oxide yellow (E172), gelatin;

Capsule on 500 mg (body and a lid) of the titan dioxide (E 171), ferrous oxide yellow (E 172), quinoline yellow (E 104), an azoruby (E 122), Ponso 4R (E124), gelatin.

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to meldonium and/or any excipient of medicine;
• increase in intracranial pressure (at violation of venous outflow, intracranial tumors);
• a heavy liver and/or renal failure (there are no sufficient data on safety of application).

Route of administration

For intake. Due to the possible exciting effect medicament is recommended to be used in the first half of day.

Daily dose for adults makes 500-1000 mg, it is possible to apply all dose at one time or to distribute it on 2 receptions. The maximum daily dose makes 1000 mg.

Duration of a course of treatment is 4 - 6 weeks. It is possible to repeat a course of treatment 2 - 3 times a year.

Feature of application

Pregnant

For assessment of the impact of meldonium on pregnancy, development of an embryo/fruit, childbirth and postnatal development of researches on animals. The potential risk for people is unknown therefore meldonium during pregnancy is contraindicated.

Children

Are absent data on safety and efficiency of use of meldonium to children aged up to 18 years therefore use of meldonium of this category of patients is contraindicated.

Overdose

it was not reported about meldonium overdose cases. Drug malotoksichen also does not cause the menacing side effects. At the lowered arterial blood pressure headaches, dizziness, tachycardia, weakness are possible. Symptomatic treatment. In case of heavy overdose it is necessary to control functions of a liver and kidneys. The hemodialysis has no essential value at overdose of meldonium in connection with the expressed linking with blood proteins.

Side effects

Below side effects which were observed in clinical trials and in post-registration the period.

from the immune system: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - allergic reactions.

from nervous system: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - headaches.

from respiratory organs, a thorax and mediastinum: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - respiratory infections.

from digestive tract: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - dyspepsia.

not to use

together with other means containing meldonium as the risk of emergence of side reactions increases.

Storage conditions

to Store

at a temperature not above 25 °C in the place, dry and inaccessible for children.

Expiration date - 3 years.
