Poltava

This book contains the fourth of Bohdan Lepky's historical stories, which form the trilogy (at the author's discretion) “Mazeppa”. In truth, there are five stories. And although they consistently follow the chronology of the events, the skin of them is of independent importance, so they were published by the author separately. The main character of all five stories is the Ukrainian hetman Ivan Mazepa (1639-1709), the end of the policy of which was the establishment of the sovereignty of Ukraine. The story about the life and history of the glorious hetman during the Battle of Poltava has been almost chronologically continued - until its end.
