Description

A plantain phytosyrup at cough is intended for simplification of breath at seasonal catarrhal diseases.

Active components

History of use of a plantain with the medical purposes descends by ancient times. In any case, in the first millennium AD as a herb it was known to the Arab, Persian, Greek and Roman doctors. Great Avicenna in the "Canon of medical science" recommended to accept plantain leaves as styptic cure for tumors, chronic and malignant ulcers, at inflammation of eyes, diseases of kidneys, a liver, at an elephantiasis. Drugs on the basis of a plantain are useful at a headache, disbolism, diseases of eyes, diabetes, a neurasthenia, anemia, diseases of a gall bladder, heart failure and arrhythmia. Broth of leaves of a plantain is used for treatment of bronchitis, tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases, diseases of digestive and urinogenital systems. Infusion of leaves of a plantain at intake has tonic effect at overfatigue, and alcohol tincture has sedation and reduces arterial blood pressure.

Route of administration

Adult on 1-3 tea (or measured) spoons in 30 minutes prior to meal, to children since 7 years – on 1 teaspoon twice a day in 30 minutes prior to meal, to children since 3 years – on ½ teaspoons twice a day in 30 minutes prior to meal. A reception course - 25 days.

Contraindication

Individual hypersensitivity to separate components, children's age up to 3 years, the period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast.
