Remaining the flagship of the SR series, the new design retains the world-famous sound characteristics of its predecessor while introducing many improvements in terms of user experience.

True Motion pickups, multi-layer air damping technology

True speakers deliver immersive, premium sound Motion 45mm diameter with DLC coated diaphragms. The designers also used a stainless steel acoustic mesh resistor to improve high-frequency response and an acoustic low-frequency resistor to accurately reproduce low frequencies. Additionally, the headphones feature Multi-Layer Air Damping technology, which controls airflow and reduces unwanted vibrations for increased sound clarity. All this means that the lightweight and fully mobile ATH-MSR7b headphones allow you to enjoy true high-resolution audio anywhere, anytime.

Balanced connection

To achieve the highest sound quality, the designers have prepared the ATH-MSR7b to support the balanced connection (hence the “b” in the model name), which is used in the latest mobile audio devices. The MSR7b comes with two 1.2m Y-cables with A2DC connectors on the headphone side: one with a 5-pole 4.4mm balanced mini-jack and the other with a 3-pole 3.5mm stereo jack.

Comfort of use? Even higher than before

The latest ATH-MSR7b headphones are also even more comfortable to use. The headphone designers used new, even higher-quality memory foam, by as much as 20 percent. reduced the weight of the headphones compared to the ATH-MSR7 (290 g ATH-MSR7 versus 237 g ATH-MSR7b). In addition, engineers have improved the headband, which reduces pressure, providing greater comfort when listening to music for long periods of time.
