Latgale tincture is the most common way to refine a cognac-style distillate. The recipe was invented in Latgale - a historical region of modern Latvia, which has a long tradition of distilling. There are many variations of this drink, but there is one classic recipe that has been used for generations and always gives good, consistent results.

- A set of spices Hot Rod for Latgale-style Cognac tincture (the set is designed for 3 liters of finished product)
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
Preparation:
Sugar is needed pre-dissolve in a small amount of distillate or rectified alcohol with a strength of 40-50%, as an option - make a simple caramel syrup.
Put all the ingredients in a jar, pour in distillate or rectified alcohol with a strength of 40-50% and add syrup, shake everything well and set aside in a dark place.
Infusion time is from two weeks to two months. When left on the battery, the time is reduced to a week - 10 days.
