Description
Martini-Style Vermouth Recipe
For the aromatic base you will need:
- Hot Rod Martini-Style Vermouth Spice Set
- 85 ml distillate or rectification with a strength of 95%
- 25 ml of water
For vermouth you will need:
- 0.7 liters of semi-sweet white wine
- 70 grams of sugar
- 50 ml of water
- 50 ml of distillate or rectification with a strength of 95%
Soak herbs and spices in 85 ml distillate or rectification with a strength of 95% and 25 ml of water (crush cardamom and juniper berries). Infuse the essence in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks, stirring occasionally. Then strain the infusion through 4 layers of gauze, squeeze out the herbs and filter the essence through a cotton filter. Let it sit for another 2 days.
We make vermouth according to the same scheme as in the first recipe. Pour 50 ml of distillate or rectification with a strength of 95% into the wine, cook syrup from 70 g of sugar and 50 ml of water, cool the syrup and add to fortified wine. Add 8 ml of essence there. We try and adjust the content of the essence. We seal it and let the drink rest for a month or two.
