Active ingredient: 1 bottle contains tinctures of a grass of a motherwort (leonuri cardiacae herba) (1:5) (extractant — ethanol of 70% (about/about)) 25 ml.

Pharmacological properties

On the nature of action tincture of a motherwort is close to

to valerian drugs. the soothing effect occurs due to strengthening of process of braking or decrease in process of excitement in the central nervous system. has no somnolent impact, but facilitates approach of a physiological dream and deepens it. does not cause the phenomena of accustoming, mental dependence.

Indication

Functional disorders of activity of a cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia on hypertensive type), initial stages of arterial hypertension, the increased emotional excitability, irritability, easy forms of sleep disorders.

Contraindication

Increased individual sensitivity to medicament components.

Profound arterial hypotension (lowering of arterial pressure), bradycardia.

Interaction with other medicines and other types of interactions

Motherwort tincture can exponentiate pharmacological effects of sedative, somnolent, analgetichesky, antihypertensive medicaments and cardiac glycosides and also strengthens effect of alcohol.

About simultaneous use of any other medicines to the doctor.

Feature of use

is not recommended to use medicament because of the ethanol content for a long time.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast

As is a part of medicament alcohol, tincture is not recommended to be taken inside to women during pregnancy or feeding by a breast.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms

At administration of medicament of a motherwort tincture needs to refrain from control of vehicles and work with potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Motherwort tincture to accept

inside after a meal.

Adult 3–4 times a day before achievement of stable therapeutic effect are recommended to accept

till 30-50 tincture drops, to children 12 years are more senior — at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life.

Duration of a course of treatment are defined individually for each patient taking into account character, by severity of pathological process, features of a course of the disease, tolerance of medicament and stability of the reached therapeutic effect.

Children

As alcohol is a part of drug, tincture is not recommended to be applied inside to children up to 12 years.

Overdose

When exceeding the recommended doses of medicament the dizziness, drowsiness, a lowering of arterial pressure can be observed.

Treatment. In case of overdose it is necessary to stop use of medicament and to immediately carry out symptomatic and maintenance therapy (depending on a clinical condition of the patient). Development of hypersensitivity to medicament is possible.

At individual hypersensitivity the development of local allergic reactions (including reddening and a cutaneous dropsy, rash, an itching) and also dizziness, drowsiness, feeling of fatigue, decrease in intellectual and physical working capacity is possible
