Description
This book is a collection of funny stories from the life of the city of Chernivtsi, where the authors were born and grew up. Everyone knows a word or a phrase in Yiddish, but in order to read a book, it is not at all obligatory to know it. Bricker and Vishevsky know that they don’t speak Yiddish and they themselves lived just around the corner, and the words and phrases they need are artifacts and utensils from archaeological excavations, which help the authors to the isto of the hours of their childhood and youth and to settle in the new again themselves, Borya and Tolika, and also the people who left them. Published by the International Literary Corporation Meridian Czernowitz. Viktor Pivovarov’s painting “Making Hands” is on display, kindly provided by the artist.
