Solution for Magnesium injections sulfate is shown:

• In hypertensive crisis ventricular narusheny a heart rhythm (tachycardia like "pirouette"); convulsive syndrome; hypomagnesiemia eclampsias; raised the need for magnesium;
• In complex therapy of premature births of an angina of exertion in poisoning with salts of heavy metals with tetraethyllead with soluble salts of barium (antidote).

Structure

Active ingredient: magnesium sulfate heptahydrate;

1 ml of magnesium of sulfate of heptahydrate of 250 mg;

Excipients: sodium hydroxide, the hydrochloric acid divorced, water for injections.

Contraindication

Increased individual sensitivity to medicine components; arterial hypotension, the profound bradycardia (ChSS is less than 55 beats/min), the atrioventricular block, states caused by deficiency of calcium and oppression of a respiratory center, a cachexia, a renal failure, the profound liver or renal failure, a myasthenia, malignant new growths.

Overdose

Symptoms: signs of a gipermagniyemiya as increase in concentration of magnesium in blood serum:

• decrease in deep tendon jerks (2-3.5 mmol/l);
• lengthening of an interval of PQ and expansion of the QRS complex on the ECG (2.5-5 mmol/l);
• loss of deep tendon jerks (4-5 mmol/l);
• oppression of a respiratory center (5-6.5 mmol/l);
• cardiac conduction abnormality (7.5 mmol/l);
• cardiac arrest (12.5 mmol/l).

Besides, hyperhidrosis, uneasiness, block, polyuria, uterus atony.

Treatment: specific antidote are calcium medicaments (Calcii chloridum or a gluconate) which should be entered intravenously slowly. At a moderate gipermagniyemiya the prescribing of furosemide is possible. To eliminate respiratory depression with introduction intravenously 5-10 ml of 10% of solution of Calcii chloridum, oxygen inhalation, artificial ventilation of the lungs.
