Turmeric root

Turmeric is a spice from the ginger family that came to us from East India. The use of turmeric root in cooking extends to almost all areas; it is added to hot and cold soups, meat, vegetable and poultry dishes, drinks, baked goods and desserts. Turmeric is rich in beneficial vitamins and minerals, so it is used not only in cooking, but also for medicinal purposes.
