Description

Coriander is one of the most famous herbs, it has been grown in the Mediterranean and Asian countries for more than 3 thousand years. Interestingly, coriander and cilantro are two different spices that are made from the same plant. Experienced chefs advise adding coriander to legume dishes, salads with carrots, salted herring, and lamb. Baristas often sprinkle coriander into their coffee - this drink energizes you for the whole day.

Coriander seeds are used to season fish and meat. It is put in potatoes, soups, salads, cheeses, sausages and sauces. To give a piquant taste, this seasoning is present in dishes with Peking, red and Savoy cabbage. Housewives add seeds to canned tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, cabbage and olives.

Coriander can be found in many Indian mixtures. It goes well with chili pepper and garlic. The dish acquires a wonderful aroma and taste if you add black pepper, celery, cumin, fennel or cumin along with coriander.
