Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky is a prominent Ukrainian realist writer, whose pen contains information and stories from people’s life, which becomes the most important and classically completed side of his creativity. The master of the word mav on the map is able to better develop the “untapped mines” of Ukrainian life and create truthful images of people from all faiths of marriage. Colorful portrayals of heroes, succulent humor and a smiley appreciation of the serious and the tragic with the comic formed the works of Nechuy-Levytsky with true pearls of Ukrainian prose. The stories “Mikola Dzherya” and “Kaidashev’s family”, as well as the song “On Kozhum’yaki” have survived to our knowledge.
