This is a great compilation of obscure live performances with Leslie West solo, and with Mountain. One track "Nantucket Sleighride" features Felix Pappalardi on vocals, another song "Theme From An Imaginary Western" features Jack Bruce on Vocals. The CD would have better been called "Live Hits and Studio Rarities". Mississippi Queen, Nantucket Sleighride, and Blood Of The Sun were all recorded in the early 1970s. "Crossroads" and "You Really Got Me" sounded as if they were recorded in the 1990s-2010. The rest of the songs on this release were studio, but from relatively hard to find releases. This would be a great addition to any collection for Mountain fans or those who like great live hard rock! Enjoy!

Leslie West, who has died aged 75 following a cardiac arrest, could claim to be one of the creators of heavy metal. His band Mountain made a spectacular impact when they played their fourth gig at the original Woodstock festival in August 1969, alongside the likes of the Who, Jimi Hendrix and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
