Description
Powder for solution for injections Gerpevir is shown for treatment of the infections caused by a herpes simplex virus at patients with an immunodeficiency and heavy genital herpes at patients without immunodeficiency.
Structure
Active ingredient: aciclovir;
1 bottle containsacyclovir of sodium salt sterile in terms of acyclovir – 250 mg.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir, a valatsiklovir.
Route of administration
is Applied by slow intravenous infusion within not less than 1 hour.
Course of treatment Gerpevir for intravenous administration usually lasts 5 days, but duration can be changed depending on a condition of the patient and the corresponding reaction to therapy. Treatment of herpes simplex encephalitis lasts usually 10 days. Treatment of infections at the newborns called by a herpes simplex virus lasts usually 14 days at damage of skin and mucous membranes and 21 days – at dissimination and damage of the central nervous system.
Duration of preventive application of Gerpevir for intravenous administration is defined by duration of the period of risk of infection.
