“Fiasco” is not the most gloomy work of the famous Polish science fiction writer S. Lem. Essentially, this is a story about a test of contact between the earth's mission and the civilization of the distant planet Quinta, a contact that would turn into a complete failure for earthlings, and total disaster for the Quintans. With his “Fiasco,” the writer further confirms that humanity will be condemned to defeat until it emerges from Plato’s oven, in which it has become self-conscious.
