Capsules of Eurofast are shown at symptomatic treatment of head, tooth and menstrual pain, fever, neuralgia, dorsodynia, joints, muscles, at rheumatic pains.

Structure

Active ingredient: ibuprofen;

1 capsule contains an ibuprofen 200 mg or 400 mg;

Excipients (200 mg): polyethyleneglycol, sorbitol solution (70%), sorbitanoleate (sorbitan 80), potassium hydroxide, water purified;

capsule Cover: gelatin, polyethyleneglycol 400, sorbite solution of 70% (E 420), FD & C Green No. 3, water purified, triglycerides of an average chain (Miglyol 812);

Excipients (400 mg): polyethyleneglycol 400, PVP K-30 povidone, sorbitanoleate, potassium hydroxide, water purified;

capsule Cover: gelatin, polyethyleneglycol 400, sorbite solution of 70% (E 420), the water purified, triglycerides of an average chain.

Contraindication

• Hypersensitivity to an ibuprofen or to any of medicine components.
• Existence in the anamnesis of a bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis or an enanthesis connected with use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
• Existence in the anamnesis of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation after use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicaments (NPVS).
• Peptic ulcer stomach/bleeding now or in the anamnesis (two and more accurate episodes of exacerbation of a peptic ulcer or bleedings).
• Heavy renal, heart or liver failure.
• Last trimester of pregnancy.

Overdose

Symptoms. At most of the patients receiving clinically significant amounts of medicine only nausea, vomiting, pain in epigastric area developed, it is very rare - diarrhea. There can also be a sonitus, a headache and gastrointestinal bleeding. In more serious poisoning toxic damages of central nervous system which are shown as vertigo, drowsiness, sometimes - the excited state and a disorientation or a coma are possible. Treatment has to be symptomatic and supporting and also to include ensuring passability of airways and observation of indicators of cardiac performance and the vital functions before normalization of a state. Oral administration of activated carbon or gastric lavage within 1 hour after application of potentially toxic dose of medicine is recommended.

Side effects

Most frequent side reactions are gastrointestinal by the nature and generally depend on a dose, including risk of developing of gastrointestinal bleeding which depends on a dose and duration of treatment. Side reactions are observed less often if the maximum daily dose does not exceed 1200 mg.

Interaction

Should avoid simultaneous application of an ibuprofen with acetylsalicylic acid if the smaller dose of acetylsalicylic acid (it is not higher than 75 mg in day) was not appointed by the doctor, and with other NPVP, including selection TsOG-2 (TsOG-2) inhibitors as it can increase risk of emergence of side effects.
