Description

The publication includes poems and the poem “The Thought of Opanas” by Eduard Bagritsky (1895 - 1934). The poet's creativity flourished in the 20s of the last century. His poems are full of enthusiasm and revolutionary romance. The poet passionately believed in a bright future and painfully tried to justify the cruelty of revolutionary ideology and totalitarianism. That is why in one of his poems the deceased Dzerzhinsky appeared to the author and says about the coming century: “But if he says: “Lie!” - lie. But if he says: “Kill!” - kill." In 1926, Bagritsky created the poem “The Thought of Opanas,” in which he talks about the tragedy of the Civil War, which broke the fate of ordinary people. The action of the poem takes place in Ukraine during the struggle of the Bolsheviks with Makhno's troops.
