Deseyz of the tab. of p/o of 500 mg No. 30

Deseyz – antiepileptic means. Levetiratsetam.

(medical means of the first choice) at treatment:

• partial attacks with secondary generalization or without that at adults and teenagers aged from 16 years for which epilepsy is for the first time diagnosed.

As additional therapy at treatment:

• partial attacks with secondary generalization or without that at adults and children aged from 6 years sick with epilepsy;
• myoclonic spasms at adults and teenagers aged from 12 years sick with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy;
• initially generalized convulsive (toniko-clonic) attacks at adults and teenagers aged from 12 years sick with idiopathic generalized epilepsy.

Structure

• active ingredient: levetiracetam;
• 1 tablet, film coated, contains to levetiratseta 500 mg;
• other components: krospovidon (type B) (E 1202), K 30 povidone, silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous (E 551), magnesium stearate (E 470b);
• film covering: gipromeloz (E 464), makrogol/PEG 400 (E 1521), titan dioxide (E 171), talc (E 553b), indigo carmine aluminum varnish (E 132), ferrous oxide yellow (E 172).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to a levetiratsetam or other derivatives of a pirolidon and also to any excipients of medicine.

Route of administration

to take the Pill inside, washing down with enough liquid, irrespective of food. At oral administration to levetiratseta can have bitter smack. To distribute a daily dose on 2 identical receptions.

Adults and teenagers of 16 years.

with the recommended dose 500 mg a day (250 mg 2 times a day) with the subsequent increase in an initial therapeutic dose to 1000 mg a day (to 500 mg 2 times a day) in 2 weeks. Increase in a dose on 500 mg/days (on 250 mg 2 times a day) each 2 weeks depending on clinical effect is possible. The maximum daily dose makes 3000 mg/days (1500 mg 2 times a day).

Pregnant

Levetiratsetam can be used during pregnancy if after careful assessment of need.

Children

Medicine in the form of tablets is not recommended for use to children up to 6 years.

Drivers

to Patients is recommended to abstain from control of vehicles and work with other mechanisms, it will not be established yet that their ability to be engaged in such activity is not broken.

Overdose

Symptoms

At overdose drowsiness, excitement, aggression, respiratory depression, oppression of consciousness, a lump.

Side effects

from organs of sight: diplopia, blurring of sight.

from organs of hearing and a vestibular mechanism vertigo.

from the respiratory system, bodies of a thorax and mediastinum: cough.

from digestive tract: abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, vomiting, nausea.

to Store

in original packing at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store out of children's reach.
