Pharmacological properties

Chondroitin a complex — the combined medicine for stimulation of regeneration of cartilaginous tissue. effect of medicine is caused by the components which are its part.

Sodium chondroitin sulfate — high-molecular mucopolysaccharide which takes part in creation of cartilaginous tissue. Reduces activity of the enzymes destroying a joint cartilage and stimulates its regeneration. At early stages of inflammatory process of sodium chondroitin sulfate reduces its activity, thus slowing down a degeneration of cartilaginous tissue. Promotes reduction of expressiveness of a pain syndrome, improvement of function of joints, reduces the need for NPVP at patients with an osteoarthrosis of knee and hip joints.

hydrochloride has hondroprotektorny properties, reduces deficiency of glikozamin in an organism, takes part in biosynthesis of proteoglycans and hyaluronic acid. Showing a tropnost to cartilaginous tissue, a glycosamine the hydrochloride initiates process of fixing of sulfur at synthesis of chondroitinsulphuric acid. A glycosamine the hydrochloride selectively affects a joint cartilage, is specific substrate and a stimulator of synthesis of hyaluronic acid and proteoglycans, suppresses formation of superoxidic radicals and enzymes which predetermine damage of cartilaginous tissue (collagenases and phospholipases), prevents the destroying action of glucocorticoids concerning chondrocytes and the violation of biosynthesis of glikozaminoglikan induced by NPVP.

After single oral administration of medicine in an average therapeutic dose With _max in 3–4 h, in synovial fluid — in 4–5 h. The bioavailability of medicine is 13%. Discharge is carried out generally by kidneys for 24 h 90% of the accepted glycosamine soaked up in intestines. 25% of the accepted dose get from blood plasma into cartilaginous tissue and a synovial membrane of joints. In a liver a part of medicine is metabolized to urea, carbon dioxide and water.

Indication

Degenerative dystrophic diseases of joints and backbone: an osteoarthrosis, a humeroscapular periarthritis, backbone osteochondrosis, changes (for acceleration of formation of a bone callosity).

Use

Chondroitin a complex are applied at adults inside on 1 capsule by 3 times a day for the first 3 weeks; then — on 1 capsule 2 times a day for 2–3 months

Contraindication

Individual hypersensitivity to medicine components, thrombophlebitis, diabetes, the expressed dysfunctions of kidneys/liver, phenylketonuria, tendency to bleedings, the period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast, children's age.

Side effects

from digestive system: pain in epigastric area, nausea, vomiting, a meteorism, a diarrhea/lock;

from nervous system: dizziness, general weakness, drowsiness, headache, insomnia, increased fatigue;

allergic reactions: rash, itch, urticaria, erythema, dermatitis, hypostases.

Special instructions

For prevention of emergence of undesirable effects should not exceed the recommended dose.

In need of the Chondroitin Complex capsule can be applied as a part of combination therapy with GKS and NPVP.

for treatment consumption of sugar, liquid and to exclude alcohol intake.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Drug is contraindicated during pregnancy. During medicament treatment the feeding by a breast should be stopped.

Children. Drug is not used at children.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. If during medicament treatment there are dizziness or drowsiness, it is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms.

Interaction

At the combined application medicine chondroitin the complex strengthens absorption in a GIT of tetracyclines and reduces — semi-synthetic penicillin and levomycetinum (chloramphenicol). chondroitin a complex can be applied together with npvp and gks. against the background of administration of medicament the requirement in npvp, gks and also anesthetics decreases. the efficiency of treatment increases at enrichment of a diet with vitamins A, with and salts of manganese, magnesium, copper, zinc, selenium.

Cases of overdose are not described by

. increase in severity of side effects is possible. in case of overdose the symptomatic treatment is recommended.
