“The Invisible Man” is a novel by H.G. Wells, written in 1897.
The Invisible Man H.G. Wells is one of the most tragic science fiction novels by the classic of English literature H.G. Wells.
The hero of the novel, a talented young scientist, physicist Griffin, creates a device that changes the refractive index of the substances of the human body and actually makes a person completely invisible. Fully concentrating on his work, Griffin completely forgets about such seemingly mundane things as finances, rent, and food. And here he is the owner of a brilliant invention and at the same time completely bankrupt. The last fact pushes the young scientist to a risky, almost insane act - he makes himself invisible.
And now, completely invisible, but completely naked in the most literal sense of the word, he finds himself on the street. It turns out that invisibility is not only omnipotence and permissiveness. This is also a huge danger for the owner of such a “gift”. You could be knocked down by a heavily loaded cart, or at least painfully pushed by a random passerby. Invisible, cold and cold, Griffin is not at all like the ruler of the world he imagined himself to be after becoming invisible.
