A Night at the Opera (with English — "Noch in the Opera") — the seventh studio album of the Blind Guardian group released in 2002 on a label of Virgin Records.
Working name of a disk was "Soulforged", but musicians changed it for "Noch in the Opera". The new name is a hint on the album of Queen of the same name. According to the guitarist Markus Zipen:
"Queen influenced most us so it is some kind of tribute [1]. "
Disk differs in further change of sounding of Blind Guardian towards progressive threw and also the noticeable number of songs with texts of near-religious subject. Eto a latest album of group with participation of the drummer Tommen Staukh.
A Night at the Opera is called the best metal album of 2002 the website Metal-Rules.com.
