Igor Rodin is a military historian and publicist from Kyiv. He studied the period of the First World War and the Civil War, was fascinated by Russian commanders, and the ideas of the White movement. But in 2014, at the age of 53, he went to defend Ukraine from the “Russian world.” He volunteered for the front as part of the Donbass battalion. Upon leaving Ilovaisk, he was captured by the Russian military. Igor was released as a result of a prisoner exchange. Before the war in Donbass, Igor Rodin wrote two books and forty-eight articles on Russian military history. Now he writes the history of his country. The first result was this book.
